Although April 20 marked the one-year anniversary of Avicii’s passing, it’s apparent the electronic-music community as a whole is still very deeply feeling the loss of one of our most influential people. As countless artists took to social media over the weekend to voice their grief in remembrance of Tim Bergling, Gryffin paid homage to the late great with a beautiful live tribute of Avicii’s “Wake Me Up”.

During his weekend two Coachella set, Gryffin surprised attendees by bringing out Aloe Blacc (who he recently teamed up with with on a forthcoming track titled “Hurt People”) to perform Avicii’s iconic 2013 track. Featuring Gryffin on live acoustic guitar and Blacc providing his signature vocals, the tribute came as a welcomed and emotional offering to remember the one and only Tim Bergling. This is the kind of song(s) you wouldn’t want to miss on your playlist.
