News: Aaron Rodgers Will Reportedly Be On Game Of Thrones This Week
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be one of the many people locked into HBO this Sunday at 9pm ET as the penultimate episode of “Game of Thrones” sets the stage for the series finale. In fact, reports suggest that Rodgers himself will be featured in the episode.
Last year, during an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, Rodgers said he “could not confirm nor deny” whether or not he’d been approached to appear on an episode of GOT. However, word on the street is that Rodgers will make his on-screen debut this weekend.
Of course, Rodgers isn’t the first athlete or celebrity to have a cameo in Game of Thrones.
Ed Sheeran appeared on screen as a signing Lannister solider in the season 7 premiere “Dragonstone,” New York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard served as a Lannister soldier in “The Spoils of War” later that season and most recently, Rob McElhenney (aka Mac from It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia) took an arrow through the eye on Euron’s ship as part of the Season 8 premiere, “Winterfell.”
Will Rodgers throw a hail mary spear? Get torched by a dragon? Recycle a Starbucks coffee cup? Do nothing of value?
It’s unclear how he’ll fit in to the picture in episode 5, but don’t blink or you’ll likely miss it.
