Nike’s annual tradition of creating a special edition sneaker in honor of TEDxPortland speakers, performers and volunteers continued this past weekend with an exclusive Nike Air Trainer 1 collab. However, unlike in previous years, this TEDxPortland Nike collab was also made available for attendees.

The Air Trainer 1s, featuring a Nike favorite white, black, grey and red colorway, were produced in limited numbers, and TEDxPDX attendees had the chance to purchase during the event last Saturday, April 27. All of the proceeds went towards attendee ticket scholarships in Year 10, 2020.

The classic silhouette is outfitted with TEDxPortland branding on the tongue, while “SPREAD” and “IDEAS” are stamped on the white ankle collars in a bold, black font. Additionally, a series of dots can be found on the heel as a nod to the conference’s 2019 theme of “connecting the dots.” Grey suede detailing, red Nike Air branding and decorative insoles complete the look.
