Download New Music: Beyoncé – Sorry (Original Demo)
Beyoncé comes through with yet another brand new version to her previously released song which is titled “Sorry (Original Demo)“. Beyoncé made the world stop again last week when her glorious Netflix film Homecoming dropped, along with an accompanying live album. Homecoming: The Live Album features a bonus track called “Before I Let Go,” a Bey-ified cover of the 1981 classic Frankie Beverly & Maze anthem that has sparked a new dance challenge across social media. In her first ever Instagram story, Bey gave the stamp of approval for the #BeforeILetGoChallenge by sharing over a dozen videos of her fans dancing along to the song. The singer, who until now has only used Instagram for highly curated grid posts, storied her appreciation with the heart eyes and bee emoji. The challenge requires an array of dance moves and a good amount of skill to nail them like Bey. Some of the lyrics instruct:
Turn around, kick, then slide
And twirl that ass to the right, now
Ooh, bunny hop, bunny hop, drop, pop
Cross your legs, turn around and clap
Shuffle to the left, let’s glide now
Ooh, drop it down, drop it down low, low
With Beyoncé officially launching the challenge, “Before I Let Go” is poised to take over the summer like Drake’s #InMyFeelingsChallenge from last year. But expect to see more from Queen Bey in general—Variety reported that her Netflix deal has two more features to come, worth a cool $60 million. Queen Bey has been making headlines all week because she keeps coming through with the content. First, she released a surprise Netflix special, Homecoming, which was accompanied by a live album of her legendary Coachella performance.
If the Beyhive thought that was a treat, Beyonce made the classic album available on all streaming platforms in honor of Lemonade‘s third anniversary, in addition to all the new music she just released. The collection was available for purchase on other platforms, but fans could only stream it through her family’s streaming service, TIDAL. Of course, that didn’t stop the Beyhive making it an award-winning and multi-platinum selling LP.
On top of opening the album to all streaming platforms, she slipped in the demo version of “Sorry” and the Beyhive can’t find their wigs.
Unlike the album version, the demo below portrays a more fed up Yonce singing an airy ballad about her man “running game on the wrong one.” The lyrics are pretty much the same but this version showcases Bey’s impressive vocal range with minimal instruments, instead of a dance track. It would’ve been hard for Serena Williams to drop it low if the demo made the cut. This is the kind of song(s) you wouldn’t want to miss on your playlist.
