Back in 2015 DJ Khaled made a business move with Miami legend E Class to partner up on a resturant chain. That resturant then was called Miami Fingalicking, but due to legal pressure from KFC they had to drop the Fingalicking for “The Licking”. Since 2015 with DJ Khaled’s and E Class power the restaurant is one of the biggest in South Florida not just Miami! Rappers, Singers, NBA Players, NFL Players and etc all frequent the famous restaurant. Late Wednesday night Khaled’s money courier was robbed and shot while at their Miramar location picking up the money.
Miramar police spokeswoman Tania Rues said the victim, identified as Taurean Lewis Burney, 37, was walking back to his car after collecting cash from the business when someone in another car got out, approached him and demanded the money.
Rues said the victim handed over the cash but was shot anyway. He was airlifted to an area hospital. His condition wasn’t immediately known.
“I will tell you this. There was not a significant amount of money, and it’s quite unfortunate that someone would rob someone who turned over the cash,” Rues said. “He turned over the money, and yet he was shot multiple times.”
“Quite frankly, it doesn’t matter who the owner is,” Rues said. “This was, you know, a serious crime of an armed robbery shooting. So it doesn’t matter who owns the restaurant to us. We’re going to work the investigation the same.”
